Formed in late 2017, The Sun Champs are a Pittsburgh-based six-piece band blending rock, funk, blues, jazz, and Latin influences into a high-energy, genre-bending sound. Known for their dynamic live performances, the band delivers original music that moves seamlessly between tight grooves, soaring melodies, and exploratory jams.

At the core of The Sun Champs is a commitment to original songwriting and creative risk-taking, resulting in live shows often described as a thrilling, multi-genre jam experience that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.

In December 2025, The Sun Champs released sunchamps1.0, their first live anthology and latest release. The album captures the band’s original incarnation and serves as a snapshot of their sound and energy prior to the addition of vocalist Allison Reiber. sunchamps1.0 is available on all major streaming platforms.

The band’s self-produced debut LP, Equator, was released in August 2023, also available on all major streaming platforms. Earlier, The Sun Champs independently released their self-titled EP in June 2019.
